wat tires size is good for 16x8

i just want to know wat size fits flush on a 16x8 .. 215/50 or 205/50 or 195/50

195/55 looks good on 16*8's. That's what I was running a few years back with 16*8+10 grids. With a 16 running a narrower tire you kinda want a little height. Do you know what the numbers actually mean?.. lol I just notice those


Lets say your running a 195/55-16
195= width of tread in mm.
There is 25.4mm per 1inch so..195/25.4=7.67in of tread ( roughly)

55= percentage of width equals height ( 55% of 195= height in mm)
So 195*.55=107.25/25.4= 4.2in tall

And 16 is obviously the wheel size.

You could do a 50 series if you wanted to. That would be about 3.8in tall

Running a 195 would have a tiny bit of stretch. For flush a 205/50 would be good

Good post Jake. Only other thing to keep in reference is total overall height compared to stock. That'll give you a reference number to compare to your current size overall. Then if you take half that overall height and measure outward from the center of your wheel to see how much the tires will fill up or tuck in.

24.4 overall height and 12.4 from center of wheel roughly. Tire companies vary in sizing. A 195 wont always be a 195.

I know this thread is old and dead. But i wondering how would 195/50 look on 16x8 0 offset..or should i go with 195/55?? Does anyone have a picture of how that would look? Would i have to drop my car alot? Please respond cuz im in the market for tires asap, but dont know what size to go with.. thanks..

a 195 50 will be almost exactly the same height as stock 15 with a 195/60.

i mean that as in... height from the ground to the top of the tire. 195/60/15 and 195/50/16 would almost have exactly the same TOTAL height
