does anybody close to fresno know how to do this without bending any valves because if so i would really want to get it done and how much would you guys charge me and is it even worth the trouble. thanks adrian

Yes it's easy. Just take out the intake cam and replace it with the exhaust cam, rotated either 3 or 4 teeth CCW.

3 teeth CCW = bottom end
4 teeth CCW = top end

not really worth it IMO. Stock S13 cams are bitchin' as it it is, 248/248 setup kinda sucks.

Go 248/232.

If you have some s13 cams and some s14 cams you should have already done this. the power production is great everywhere. you only lose a little bit of top end over 248/248 and you gain more low end than you get with any other swap besides maybe 232/232. the KA craves this swap, it loves the low end and, chances are you only rev to 6500 anyway, so thats why this is the cam sawp for you. only don't do this if you wanna get beat by me. i'm only kidding, i'm too poor to be fast.

The cams in an S14 are not as aggressive as the cams in an S13. I believe the stock cams in an S14 are 232/232. Therefore, all you'd need to do, is swap out the intake for a 248 cam, and you'd have 248/232 cams. Which is the best cam swap.

I have not done 248/232, but I have done 248/248. 248/248 is alright, but I lost a little bottom end, which is where a KA is fun. 248/232 is a solid cam swap and if you have the cam I'd just go for it and see if you like it.

I have an extra cam or 2... I had the 248/232 swap a few years back
I liked it alot more than the 248/248. There is a noticable gain in all rpm range.
It's easy and if you want, i could help.


BUT, when i did the 248/232 swap i also changed fuel filter, dizzy cap, rotor, plugs and wires soooo..... yea lol a tune up probably helped a bit too

Forgive the noob ?'s but in the s13 we come with 232/248? On this mod you switch the intake and exhaust cams? Does it make the points on the sprocket not match up?

i would but i really dont want to be a bother bro, i would find that kind of disrespectful, but you said you had the cam i need. How much would you sell it to me for and when are you available to give me a hand putting it on so i dont fuck everything up lol. well i would much rather have you help me out cuz when it comes to my internals im very iffy about digging into it myself since its my dd and i dont have any other ride for work, but when ever you have a chance to lend me a hand let me know man ill be patient i know that you have a job and bills to pay like everyone else bro.
